Notes:
When problems persist, resetting the DS1 CONV circuit pack via the reset board
command may temporari ly resolve the error condition and restore ser vice until
further assistance is provid ed.
a. If the alarm is on board, then a major hard ware error has occurred in a
common part of the circ uit pack, not circ uit or packet spec ific. Replace
the DS1 CONV circuit pack.
If the alarm is off board, then either a major hard ware error has occurred in
a common part of the c ircuit pack, or a goo d clock signa l cannot be
recovered from the synchronization sourc e. The synchronization source
can be the fiber link or any one of the DS1 facilities.
1. Enter display errors and follow the associated repair p rocedures
for any SYNC, TDM-CLK, and SNC-BD errors.

1. Run the Short Test Sequence first. If all tests pass, run the Long Test Sequence. Refer to the
appropriate test description and follow the recommend ed procedures.
