Insert the tape with
the new software 2 Wait for the tape to retension itself.

restore disk
install 10 This copies files from the new tape to d isk. If you are
updating
from
a load earlier than 6.0, substitute for this step
the following sequence: copy announce tape, save
translation tape, then restore disk full.
The following step will result in the service effects described above.
upgrade software
to-version 10 Use the new software version number described ab ove. The
system will reboot and then reload translations. Results of
each step in the upg rade process and initialization
diagnostics will b e displayed on the terminal. A fu ll
description of sc reen output appears in upgrade software
in Chapter 8, ‘‘Maintenance Commands’’.
NOTE:
Be careful not to touch the G3-MT keyboard whi le
waiting for the command to execute, or the result
messages may be lost.
