Management Terminal
The management terminal is used to enter c ommands and monitor operat ions
through the maintenance user interfac e. Chapter 8, ‘‘Maintenance Commands’’
describes the c ommands available to the maintenanc e user.

Multiple Access

Release 7r allows multiple users to perform mai ntenance and administration at
the same time:
This system has a security feature to allow the customer to d efine their
own logins and password s and to specif y a set of commands for eac h
login. It allows up to 11 c ustomer and 4 services logins. Eac h login name
can be customized .
Login Security Violation Notification Following a Security Violation and
Login Kill after “N” Attemp ts features notifies a referral point, and disab les
a login ID (Customer or Lucent Services log ins) following a security
violation (a user defined sec urity violation threshold). The Login Kill after
“N” Attempts feature will no t disable the last remaining ina ds type login.
Lucent Services logins require a Luc ent init level login ID to re-enable
logins that have been disab led by a secu rity violation or the command
disable login.
