Serial Channel Local Looparound Test (#229)
This test checks TN775B on-board circ uitry associated with the serial links to the
Expansion Interface circu it packs. A request is sent to the EPN Maintenance
circuit pack ove r the Active link via the Active Expansion Interf ace circuit pac k
serial interface circuitr y to test the serial interface circuitr y of the standby
Expansion Interface circuit p ack link. If a response is received , then by definition
the serial interface circui try associated with the Active lin k is good.
The EPN Maintenance circuit pack has 3 sep arate serial interfaces:
■One to the management terminal which i s tested by Test #228
■One to the active EI circuit pac k which is tested by Test #229
■One to the standby EI circuit p ack which is tested b y Test #229

1000 ABORT System resources required to run this test are not available.
2000 ABORT Response to the test request was not received within the allowable time
period.
2033 ABORT Internal system error.
1. Retry the command at one-minute intervals a maximum of 5 times.
2034 ABORT Background EPN Maintenance circuit pack maintenance is running the Serial
Channel Local Looparound Test.
1. Wait 30 seconds, and retry the test a maximum of 5 times.
22901 ABORT Test disabled via software patch.
