b. Error type 1 with aux data 40987 indicates an off-b oard problem detec ted
by the port circ uit, and may result in a noisy port or link. See note
n
for
recommendations.
c. Error type 1 with aux data of 1 to 20 is logg ed when at least 15 off-board
problems have been detec ted with the link to the data module. Each error
detected inc rements an on-board counter. The aux d ata gives the value of
this counter divided by 15. The user could experienc e a noisy port or link.
See note ‘‘n’’ for recommendations.
d. Error type 15 is an internal that occurs when an audit request fails.
e. Error type 18 is logged when the p ort in question is demand b usied out
Make sure that the port is released from b usy out.
f. Error type 257 indicates problems with transmitting to the data module.
This is usually an on-board problem and can be ignored if no user
complaints are received . Otherwise, check for faulty wiring .
g. Error type 769 indicates that EPF has been turned off due to the
overcurrent condition at the d ata module. See the recommendations in
note
n
. This may also be caused b y the the PTC being in the ‘‘tripped’’
position due to a short on the p ower line. You can correct this by removing
the short, unplugging the data module from the wall for about 30 se conds,
and plugging it back in.
h. Error type 1537 indicates that an in-line maintenanc e error has generated
an off-board warning d ue to some problem with the link to the d ata
module. This can be ignored if no user complaints are receive d.
Otherwise, see note
n
for recommendations.
i. Error type 2304 indicates an internal error. No ac tion is necessary.
j. Error type 2305 with aux data 32770 indicates that the data equipment
went off-hook while the associated link was b eing initialized (in a
disconnected state). Use the status data-module command to d etermine
the state of the data module. The off-hook should have changed the
service state to in-service. No ac tion is necessary.
k. Error type 2305 with aux data 40967 indicates that the link between the
circuit pack and the data module has b een reset successfully. The link is
normally reset when the circuit pac k associated with an ad ministered port
is first plugged in (assuming that the data modu le is already in place and
connected to the assoc iated port), when a p ort is first administered
(assuming the associated circuit pack is p lugged in and that the data
module is connected to the associated por t), or when a data module is
first connected to an ad ministered port. No system tec hnician action is
necessary.
l. Error type 3841 indicates that the downlink b uffer on the circuit pac k has
overflowed. No action is nec essary.
m. A DCP endpoint may have been disc onnected.
