set vector reset-level# [spe-standby | spe-active | spe-maint | spe-smm]
The set vector command sp ecifies the reset levels which will ac tivate a core
dump. When a designated reset occurs, a current c opy of the system’s memory
is stored on the disk devic e, allowing the information to b e examined later for
troubleshooting purp oses.
To force an immediate core dump, set the ap propriate bit using this command
and then execute reset system of th e corresponding level,

but

be aware of
possible disrup tion as a result of the reset.
!CAUTION:

Note that level 1 (WARM) resets may result in a more destructive level 2

(COLD2) reset for certain settings of the vec tor.

!CAUTION:

Service is disrupted w henever an active SPE is performing a core d ump.

Execution

The following actions are taken in response to the vec tor settings listed b elow
when a designated reset takes p lace. In all cases after a c ore dump has been
performed, the vec tor will be cleared.

Use of this option is destructi ve to an entire port network for EPNs and

for the entire system for PPN Tone-Clocks.
