Connection
Number: The number assigned to the ad ministered connection.
Enabled? Whether the administered connec tion is enabled.
Originator: The extension of the access or data end point that originates the
connection.
Destination: The destination address used to route the administered co nnection.
Connection
State: The current status of the administered c onnection as follows:
connected = A connection b etween the originating and destination
endpoints is currently ac tive.
restored = The connection has been restored. The session may or may
not have been preserved.
failed = The connection failed due to either an administrative error
such as a wrong number o r a service-blocking condition suc h as barring
of outgoing calls.
Recovering from such a failure requires manual intervention. No further
attempt is made by the syste m to re-establish the administered
connection until the change administered- connection c ommand is
executed. If the failure was ca used by a transient con dition, you may be
able to re-establish the c onnection by first disab ling and then enab ling
the connection via the “Enab le?” field on the change administered
connection form. (The enable admin and disable admin
commands
affect only maintenance p rocesses).
