ETR-PT (Enhanced Tone Receiver Port)
NOTE:
Replacing the tone/cl ock circuit pa ck requires a spec ial procedure whic h is
described in “TONE-BD (Tone-Clock Circuit Pack)”. That section also
describes the LED display for this board.
The TN2182 is a combined Tone Generator/Tone Detector board. It provides
8 Enhanced Tone receiver (ETR) ports. Each of these ports provides th e
functions previously found ind ividually on DTMR-PTs, GPTD-PTs and CLAS-PTs
ports. Thus each port on the TN2182 may be used for any tone detection func tion
that was previously done by TN748, TN420 or TN744 Tone detection boards .
The TN2182 provides Mu-law or A-law tone detectio n capability.
Since the TN2182 also provides Tone/Clock function only one (or two if your
system is duplicated ) TN2182 circuit pac ks may be present in a por t network.
Thus if more tone detection resources are needed , the additional resourc es must
be provided b y TN748, TN420 or TN744 circuit packs.
