9-1141PDATA-BD (Packet Data Line Circuit Pack)

b. The circuit pack has b een busied out via the busyout board UUCSS
command.
c. This error indicates communicati on problems between the switc h and this
circuit pack. Execute the test board UUCSS command and refer to the
repair procedures for Control Cha nnel Loop-Around Test (#52).
d. An on-board hardware failure has b een detected by the circuit pack.
Reset the circuit pack b y executing busyout board UUCSS and reset
board UUCSS commands. If there is a prob lem, it will be detected during
initialization and will cause the circuit pack to lock up and appear insane
to the system. See the repair procedure in fo otnote (a).
e. This error is reported by the circuit p ack when it detec ts a program logic
error. While no action is required, this error may lead to errors of other
types being rep orted against this ci rcuit pack.
f. This error is reported by the circuit p ack when it cannot upd ate NPE
memory and read it bac k. This error type can be ignored , but may lead to
errors of other types being rep orted against this c ircuit pack.
g. A critical hardware failure (one or bo th of the data processors are insane)
has been detected on the circuit pac k. Reset the circuit pack via the
busyout board UUCSS and reset board UUCSS command s. If the circuit
pack Restart Test (#594) passes, then the on-board c ircuitry is healthy.
Retire the alarm via the test board UUCSS long clear command. If the
circuit pack Restart Test (#594) fails, replace the circuit pack.
This error is also caused when the buffers o n the board receive d ata faster
than they can transmit to the endpoi nts (Receive FIFO Overflow). Use the
above steps to repair the p roblem.
h. Circuit pack is hyperac tive; i.e., it is flooding the switc h with messages
sent over the control channel. The circ uit pack is taken out-of-service
when a threshold number of these errors is reported to the switch. Clear
the alarm via the following command s: busyout board UUCSS, reset
board UUCSS, test board UUCSS long clear, release board UUCSS. if
the error recurs within 10 minutes, then replace the circuit pack.
i. This error indicates that parity errors are detected when transmitting data
to the Packet Bus. Reset the circuit pac k via busyout board UUCSS and
reset board UUCSS commands. Also c lear the alarm via test board
UUCSS long clear. If the error returns within 10 minutes, then replace the
circuit pack.
j. This error occurs when the circuit pac k detects and er ror in a received
frame from the packet bus. These errors are most likely c aused by a
packet bus p roblem, but may be d ue to a circuit pack fault.
Perform a LANHO Receive Parity Error Counter Test (#595) via test board
UUCSS l to determine if the cond ition has cleared. Also refer to PKT-BUS
Maintenance documentation to d etermine if the problem is isolated to this
circuit pack or if the problem is caused by Packet Bus faults.
