Update File Section
The top half of page 1 of the form d isplays information pertaining to software
field-update files (“ patches”).
Software Verson Section
This section at the bottom of pag e 1 of the output form displa ys information
related to the current software-load mod ule stored in memory and in the MSS.
Inconsistent The time stamp or vintage of the file is inconsi stent with the first copy,
or the status bits mark it as a bad file. Follow normal escalation
procedures.
Inaccessible The second copy of the file c ould not be acc essed. Media failure is
the most probable c ause.
Creation (GMT)
Tape and (GMT)
Disk
When the update file was originally c reated, in Greenwich Mean
Time (GMT). Note that this is
not
the time at which the upda te file
was written to the MSS device.
Old-Version
Tape and Disk The software version for which the updat e was created.
Old-Identifier
Tape and Disk Which previous update file this update file expec ted to find stored
in the MSS when it was applied.
New-Identifier
Tape and Disk Uniquely identifies the c urrent update file.
Memory Resident Version number of the RAM-resident load mod ule.
Tape Resident Version number of the tape-resident load module.
Tape Second Copy See Second Copy remarks ab ove.
Disk Resident Version number of the disk-resident loa d module.
Disk Second Copy See Second Copy remarks ab ove.
Update-identifier This uniquely identifies the upd ate file, if any, that has been
applied to memory.
