Notes:
a. A Major or a Minor alarm may be logg ed with this error. A Major alarm is
raised when the total number of GPTD ports cu rrently in service is less
than or equal to 1/2 of the threshold number administered via the change
system-parameters maintenance command. Otherwise a Minor alarm is
raised. In either case, run the Short Test Sequence on the alarmed G PTD
port and follow proc edures for the individual test results.
b. The GPTD port lost its translation. Testing the GPTD port is sufficient to
reload its translation. If testing the GPTD port does not clear the error, then
replace the Tone Detector circuit pac k containing the defec tive GPTD
port.
c. This error indicates the GPTD port is having p roblems detecting c all
progress tones. If this error is logg ed constantly, replace the Tone Detector
circuit pack c ontaining the defective G PTD port.
d. This Error Type indicates that the circuit pac k has been removed or has
been insane for at least 11 minutes. To clear the error, reinsert or replac e
the circuit pac k.
