Boards: These fields indicate whether a Disk c ircuit pack is p resent in the
system, and which Packet Interfac e slots are administered. If a
Packet Interface circuit p ack is physica lly present, the
corresponding Packet Interface field is set to y when the s ystem
boots, and no chang e to that field is allowed. If the sys tem is
equi ppe d wi th du plic ated SPEs, a Packe t Inte rfac e fie ld is set to y
when either SPE carrier contains a Packet Interface circ uit pack in
the corresponding position. If a Packet Interface circ uit pack is not
present, then the value for the Packet Interface field is read from
translation data stored on disk or ta pe. If the field is set to n, a
Packet Interface circuit p ack may be administere d by changing the
corresponding Pac ket Interface field to y.
