The following display shows a typ ical result when release board 01c07 is
entered.

!CAUTION:

This command can be serv ice disrupting and may cause extraneous

alarms. Effects of a reset vary depend ing upon the type of ob ject being

reset and upon whether the comp onent is duplicated . Consult the section in

Chapter 9, ‘‘ABRI-PORT (AS A I IS DN-BRI Port)’’

on the relevant maintenance

object for details.

When a port circuit pac k is specified, the reset b oard command pe rforms a
software reset of every administered po rt on the circuit pac k. All ports must be
busied out before the p ort circuit pack is reset.
On Critical Reliability systems (dup licated PNC), reset of an Expansion Interface,
Switch Node Interface, Switch Node Clo ck, or DS1 Converter circuit pack on the
active PNC is not permitted. Standb y components must first be busi ed out before
entering the reset.
Cabinet number and rep eat both default to 1. For more information see Common
Input Parameters and Common Output Fields at the beginning of this c hapter.
