This te st rese ts the SYSAM ci rcuit pac k. The d estr ucti ve nat ure of this te st ca uses
the PPN G 3-MT to logo ff and any SYSAM Remote Acc ess c onnec tion (for
example, INADS connection) to b e torn down.
The reset test causes terminals connecte d to the SYSAM ei ther d irec tly or
through the remote access port to logoff prior to the test results being displayed.
To determine a test result from one of these locations, log bac k in and examine
the Error Log for SYSAM error type 1 with no Aux Data. This error entry indicates
that t he SYSAM Re set Test f ailed and t hat t he SYSAM c ircu it pa ck sh ould be
replaced .
If the test i s bei ng ru n from s omewh ere ot her th an the SYSAM por ts, ( for
example, a G3-MT connected to an EPN Maintenance circuit pack), tes t results
are displayed on the sc reen without a logoff taking plac e.

ABORT Internal System Error
1. Retry the command.
1338 ABORT The test is not allowed to run since a planned SPE interchange is in progress.
This may be caused by a planned interchange initiated automatically during
24 hour scheduled testing.
1. Wait 3 minutes and retry the c ommand.
1339 ABORT The test could not run on the standby SYSAM circuit pack in the standby SPE
carrier because t he standby SPE is unavailable.
1. Refer to the STBY-SPE maintenance documentation for infor mation on why
a standby SPE may be unavailable and what repair actions should be
taken. The screen for the status spe command should indicate that
handshake is down. This may be caused by a variety of reasons such as
the SPE-SELEC T switc hes on t he DUPIN T circ uit pa cks se t as the activ e
SPE, a fail ure of t he DUPIN T circ uit pa ck, o r loss o f powe r on the stand by
SPE. The SPE Selected field on th e status spe screen displays spe a
