Sanity Handshake Test (#911)

This test checks the SYSAM circuit pack’s ab ility to respond to queries. A

messa ge is sent to the SYSAM circ uit p ack, which then r eturns a mess age. The

SYSAM mus t repl y for t his tes t to p ass. If this t est fai ls, th e SYSAM ci rcui t pac k

should be consid ered insane, the circuit pac k should be reset with the reset

maintenance a | b command.

2334 ABORT The hardware mailbox on the standby Duplication Interfac e board is not ready
to receive messages.
1. Retry the command at 1-minute intervals, a maximum of 5 times.
FAIL The DPR is not functioning correctly. Communication between the Processor
and SYSAM is lost. The system is not able to report environmental alarms, use
the PPN G3-MT, or use the SYSAM Remote Access connection if the need
should arise.
1. Retry the command.
2. If t he test conti nues to fail, re plac e the SYSAM circu it pac k.
3. Retry the command.
4. If the test continues to fail, replace the Processor circuit pack.
5. Retry the command.
6. Rep lace t he SPE circ uit p acks. See ‘‘Rep lacin g SPE Circ uit Pac ks’’ in
Chapter 5.
PASS Dual Port RAM is functioning. Communication does exist between the
Proces sor and SYSAM ci rcuit pack s.
