may be necessary to force the standby SPE to go active by using the
SPE-SELECT switches on the DUPINT circuit packs to run the
Maintenance Looparound test to ma ke sure the problem is cleared .
For more information, refer to the repair proced ures of Test #886.
m. Error 1025 indicates a failure of the private Level 3 loop around test (Test #
885).
1. If the Packet Interface circ uit has a MAJOR alarm:
a. Reset the Packet Interface circuit p ack using the reset
packet-interface CS command.
b. Refer to the repair proced ures for the
Packet Interface Reset
Test (#889)
.
2. If the Packet Interface circ uit pack is not alarmed, no action is
required.
n. Error 1281 indicates that the Packet Interface c ircuit pack h as Translation
RAM failures. PKT-INT Translation RAM is used to convert the add resses
of a packet to the destination endpoint add ress.

b. Refer to the repair proced ures for the
Packet Interface Reset

2. If the Packet Interface circ uit pack is not alarmed, no action is

o. Error 1537 indicates a Boot PROM memory failure. The Packet Interface
circuit pack may still be operational if no other errors are rep orted.
However the circuit pac k may report a fatal fault during board initialization.
This may occur during a sy stem recovery level more severe than a WARM
restart. For more information, refer to Test #884.
p. Error 1793 indicates a FLASH Memory test failure. The Packet Interface
circuit pack may still be operational if no other errors are rep orted.

q. Error 2049 indicates a LAPD Received Buffer Over flow error. The Packet
Interface circuit p ack Packet bus receive b uffer overflowed. For more
information, refer to the repair proced ures of Test #887.
r. Error 2305 indicates a Packet Bus Interface Dete cted Parity failure. The
Packet Interface circuit p ack received p ackets with parity error from the
Packe t bus .
1. Check for errors logged against the Packet bus and
Maintenance/Test circuit pack. Refer to the app ropriate repair
procedures to clear th ose errors first.
