Output
After valid options are entered b y the technician, an alarm rep ort is displayed.
The data displayed on this form will be:
Port The location of the alarmed objec t. For installed circuit pac ks, the
location is displayed as cabinet-carrier-[slot]-[circuit]. For Port
Network-related objects, t he location is displayed as PN UUB, where
“UU” is the Port Network number and B is the bus (A or B). For Fiber
Link-related objects, the location is displayed as x a-PNC where “x” is
the Fiber Link number and “ a” is the PNC side (A or B). This is the
same identifier as used by the alarm log.
Maintenance
Name The logical name of the MO which has b een alarmed.
On Brd Whether the fault detected is on the asso ciated circuit p ack, or an off
board element connec ted to the circuit p ack.
Alt Name The alternate means of identifying the MO. This field c ontains the
extension when the object is a station, and it contains xxx/yyy when the
object is a trunk, where xxx is the trunk g roup number and yyy is th e
member number. It contains P/xxx when the object is a private CO line,
where xxx is the private CO line group number.
Alarm Type MAJOR, MINOR, or WARNING. This is an indicator to the seriousness
of the alarm raised.
Service
State RDY (ready for service), OUT (out of service), or IN (in service). This is
the current service state of the sta tion and trunk ports shown. If a b lank
is displayed in this field it means that no service state is assoc iated
with the MO.
Ack? The columns under the “1” and “2” heading s denote if the alarm has
been acknowledg ed by the first and sec ond OSS telephone numbers,
respectively. A “y” in this field means that the alarm has bee n
acknowledged . An “n” means that the alarm has not b een
acknowledged . A “c” means that the alarm res olved and cleared and
the alarm notification was acknowled ged. A blank means that there will
be no attempt to report the alarm.
Date
Alarmed Day, hour, and minute of alarm.
Date
Resolved Day, hour, and minute of resolution. For active alarms this field is zero
(0).
