Resolving Handshake Failure
When handshake fails, a major alarm with error 1 is repeated ly logged ag ainst
STBY-SPE ref lecti ng th e fac t that over a 2-minu te pe riod , no su cces sful
comm unic ation h as oc curre d wit h the s tand by SPE. Whe n the s ystem is in lo ck
mode, handshake is taken do wn with no alarm or error logged. When the
standby SPE is busied out, handshake communication is kept up . If handshake
should fail during b usyout, the major alarm will not appear, b ut error 1 and the
usual busyout warning alarm with e rror 18 will be logged. You can always
determine if handshake is up with status spe.
