Audit and Update Test (#36)
This test sends port level translation d ata from switch processor to the DS1 interface circuit p ack to assure that the trunk’s translation is c orrect. The port audit operation verifies the c onsistency of the current state of trunk kep t in the DS1 interface circuit pac k and in the switch software.

ABORT Could not allocate the necessary system resources to run this test.
1. Retry the command at 1-minute intervals for a maximum of 5 times.
1000 ABORT System resources required to run this test are not available. The port may be in
use on a valid call. Use status station or status trunk commands to deter m ine
when the port is available for testing.
1004 ABORT The port has been seized by a user for a valid c all. Use status station or status
trunk to determine when the port is available for testing.
1. Retry the command at 1-minute intervals for a maximum of 5 times.
1018 ABORT Maintenance is disab led on this trunk.
1. Enable maintenance by entering ‘‘y’’ in the ‘‘Maintenance Tests?’’ field on
page 2 of the change trunk-group for m.
1020 ABORT The test did not run due to an already existing error on the specific port or a
more general circuit pack error.
1. Examine Error Log for existing errors against this p ort or the circuit p ack
and attempt to diagnose the already existing error.
2000 ABORT Response to the test request was not received within the allowable time period.
2100 ABORT Could not allocate the nec essary system resources to run this test.
1. Retry the command at 1-minute intervals for a maximum of 5 times.
Any FAIL The NPE of the tested port did not conference the tones correctly. This will
cause noisy and unrelia ble connections.
1. Replace the circuit pack.
PASS The port can correctly conference multiple c onnections. User-reported troubles
on this port should b e investigated usin g other port tests and examining station,
trunk, or external wiring.
