5. If the alarm is not resolved within the next 15 minutes, rep lace the
connected Expansion Inter face circuit pac k, Switch Node Interface
circuit pack or DS1 CONV circ uit pack.
q. Error Type 3841 indicates the EI has reported a loss of loc k with the
backplane system c lock.
r. Error Type 3842 indicates that the test that queries the EI for the state of
the lock to the system cloc k has failed. This means that a loss of lock
condition is present.
s. The counter associated with Error Types 3841 and 3842 is cleared when
the query for the state of the cloc k-to-system-clock pass es. Once the
alarm is raised, this test is run every five minute s. However, the test is not
part of any sequence that c an be run on demand. See Note “p ” above for
repair procedure.
t. Error type 10001 is a report that the Expansion Interface c ircuit pack
dropped one c ontrol message to the EPN. This condition may have been
observed as a call that d id not complete c orrectly. No system technician
action is required.

error codes associated with the
Expansion Interface Reset Test,
for example, you
may also clear errors generated from o ther tests in the testing sequence.
