Notes:
a. Error Type 1The DS1 Interface circuit pack de tects a hardware error on
the DS1 tie trunk. This error can be caused b y incompatible tr anslations.
Make sure the parameters administered on the DS1 circuit pack form
match those administered on the far-end switch. See
DEFINITY Communications System Generic 3 V2 Implementation ,

The Aux Data field indicates the following hardware error types:
If all administration errors between the switc h and the far-end matc h, and
these errors continue to recur, follow normal esc alation procedu res.
b. Error Type 15This is a software audit error that does not indic ate any
hardware malfunction. Run Short Test Sequence and investigate
associated errors (if any).
c. Error Type 18The DS1 tie trunk has been busied out by a busyout trunk
grp/mbr comman d. No calls can b e made on this trunk except for the
Facility Access Test Call. Facility Access Test Calls are describ ed in
Chapter 6 and in

d. Error Type 130This error type indicates that the circu it pack has been
removed or has been insane for more than 11-minutes. To clear the error,
reinsert or rep lace the circuit p ack.
e. Error Type 257The DS1 Interface circuit pack d etects a hardware error
on the DS1 tie trunk. The trunk cannot communicate with the far end
because it is unable to interp ret digits sent from the far-end swi tch. The
Aux Data field indica tes the following:
Check with the far-end switc h or operating comp any for proper trunk
connection.
3. This alarm will only be raised when the System-Parameter Country form has the Base Tone Generator
field set to 4 (Italy). This alarm will be a MINOR alarm unless 75% or more trunks in this trunk group are
out of service, then the alarm will b e upgraded to a MAJOR alarm.
4. Major or Minor alarms on this MO may be downgraded to Warning alarms based on the values used in
the set options command.
57476 On-hook before wink
57477 On-hook before ready to receive digits
57485 Wink too short for valid sig nal
57487 The timer expired while waiting for an off-hook signal from
the far end as a response at end of digits dialing. Check
the far-end switch for related problems.
57473 The rotary dial rate is below 8 pulses per second.
57474 The rotary dial rate is above 12 pulses per second.
