d. The tone generation facility is having p roblems verifying that tones have
been connected as requested.
e. The tone generation facility may or may not be ab le to generate tones.
f. Infrequent errors, at a rate which does not b ring up an alarm, probab ly do
not affect service, unless there are custo mer complaints of no tones, or
incorrect tones which c an not be explained in any other way. However, if
an alarm is raised because this error is b eing repeatedly log ged, then the
circuit pack sh ould be replaced . See
How to Replace the Tone-Clock
Circuit Pack
in the TONE-BD section.
g. The system-parameters country-op tions administration are setup such
that a TN780 or TN2182 are required and the existing tone-c lock circuit
pack will not provid e the needed functionality. The Base Tone Generation
Set on page 1 or the custom tones b eginning on pag e 2 of the
system-parameters country op tions form may have values not support ed
by the existing tone-cloc k.
This error (1281) indicates that the system parameter s country-options
form has custom tones translated and that the alarmed tone board does
not support the customized tones. TN768 tone boards do not suppo rt any
customized tones. TN780 tone board s support up to 6 c ustomized tones
