customer to call the vendor of the PMS to chec k out the PMS device. Once
the PMS Link is successfully established, t his error disappears from the
Hardware Error Log. No alarm is raised ag ainst this error.
j. The PMS Link has been busied out with the busyout pms-link command
or has been brought d own with the test pms-link long command. The
PMS Link is torn down, and PMS Link maintenance will stop attemp ting to
reestablish the link in the case where the busyout pms-link c ommand
has been used. When the test pms-link long command has been used,
PMS Link maintenance will continue to try to reset the link. To restore the
PMS Link after use of the busyout pms-link command, issue the release
pms-link command. To restore the PMS Link after use of the test pms-link
long command, issue the test pms-link c ommand.
k. The PMS Link is physically established, bu t the protocol has not been
started by the PMS before the protocol time r expires. The PMS Link is NOT
torn down. If this error type oc curs frequently (more than once a month),
advise the customer to ca ll the vendor of the PMS to check out the PMS
device. Once the PMS Link is succ essfully established, this error
disappears from the Hardware Error Log. The PMS should be checked to
make sure that it will attempt to start the protoc ol according to the
PMS/PBX protocol specifications. No alarm is raised against this error.
l. For Error Type 2817 look for the following AUX data:
The PMS should be assessed for adherenc e to the PMS/PBX protocol
specifications .
10x The PMS violated the application p rotocol. The first message after a
request to initiate a database exchange was not the start of a database
exchange. The message is processed. If this error type with this aux data
value occurs frequently (more than once a month), advise the customer
to call the vendor of the PMS to check out the PMS device. Once the PMS
Link is successfully estab lished, this error dis appears from the Hardwar e
Error Log.
20x The PMS violated the applicatio n protocol. The start of a dat abase
exchange was received in a state in which it was not expected. The
message is ignored. If this error type with this Aux data value occurs
frequently (more than onc e a month), advise the cust omer to call the
vendor of the PMS to check out the PMS device. Once the PMS Link is
successfully established, this error disappears from the Hardware Error
Log.
30x The PMS violated the application protocol. The end of a database
exchange was received when no exchange was in progress. The
message is ignored. If this error type with this Aux Data value occurs
frequently (more than onc e a month), advise the cust omer to call the
vendor of the PMS to check out the PMS device. Once the PMS Link is
successfully established, this error disappears from the Hardware Error
Log. No alarm is raised against this error.
