Replacing the hard disk

The TN802 hard drive (Note 5 in Figure 9-57) is field-replaceable.

1. If the board is seated and you hear fast beeping , it means that one of the small boards
containing the memory c hips is dislod ged. Secure the memory b oard firmly in the
receptacle and reseat the circ uit pack.

1. Shut down NT Shut down Windows NT by either method
described in the ‘‘Shutting down NT on the
TN802’’ section.
2. Remove the circuit pack Unlatch the circuit pack and remove it from
the carrier.
