between A and B side TN230Xs on an EPN

Symptoms
■The PPN establishes links to what it thinks is the active TN230X on the
EPN.
■As normal, it reboots this TN230X, and when comp lete, it resets the EPN.
When this happens, the active (instead of the standby) TN230X reboots,
dropping the links.
■To recover, the PPN re-establishes links to what it thinks is the active
TN230X and the cycle repeats ind efinitely.
Diagnostics
1. The status pnc command on the DEFINITY SAT shows both the A-side
and B-side State of Health field as partially functional.
Action
1. Correct the ATM addresses (or swap fibers) on the A500 b etween the A
and B side of the EPN.
Multimedia Call Handling (MMCH)

Expansion Services Module

The Expansion Services Module (ESM) provides T.120 data sharing capability on
a MMCH multipoint H.320 video c onference. Each conference p articipant must
have endpoints administered and a personal c omputer with the H.320 video
application installed . The DEFINITY ECS must have the expansion servic e
module installed.
