Part 68: Statement

Part 68: Answer-Supervision Signaling. Allowing this equipment to be op erated in
a manner that does not provid e proper answer-supervision signaling is in
violation of Part 68 rules. This equipment returns answer-sup ervision signals to
the public switc hed network when:
Answered by the called station
Answered by the attendant
Routed to a recorded announc ement that can be admini stered by the CPE
user
This equipment returns answer-supervision sig nals on all DID calls forwarde d
back to the pub lic switched telep hone network. Permissible excep tions are:
A call is unanswered
A busy tone is received
A reorder tone is received
This equipment is capa ble of providing users access to interstate p roviders of
operator services through the use of access cod es. Modification of this
equipment by c all aggregators to b lock acces s dialing cod es is a violation of the
Telephone Operator Consumers Act of 1990.
This equipment complies wit h Part 68 of the FCC Rules. On the rear of this
equipment is a label that c ontains, among other information, the FCC regi stration
number and ringer eq uivalence number (REN) for this equip ment. If requested,
this information must be provid ed to the telephone co mpany.
